Automation & Nurture

When does the first automated text go out after a lead submits a form?

The first text fires within minutes of a form submission — understanding the timing helps you coordinate your personal follow-up call at exactly the right moment.

1
The first text fires almost immediately
When a lead submits your intake form online, RootLogic receives the data and triggers the welcome text automatically — typically within 1 to 3 minutes of submission. The lead doesn't have to do anything else; the text goes to the phone number they entered on the form.
2
Your notification arrives at the same time
At the same moment the lead gets their text, you'll see the new opportunity appear in the Lead Received column of your pipeline. You may also receive a notification in the Lead Connector mobile app if you have notifications enabled. This is your cue to call immediately.
3
Call while the lead is still on their phone reading the text
The goal is to call within 5 minutes of the form submission — ideally while the lead is literally still on their phone reading the automated text. Contact rates drop sharply after the first 5 minutes. The automated text is warming them up; your call closes the loop while they're engaged.
4
Confirm the text was delivered in the Conversations tab
If you ever want to verify the first text actually went out, open the lead's card in the pipeline, then click Open in Conversations. The automated text will appear at the top of the thread with a timestamp. If it's missing or shows as failed, contact your Vitality account manager to investigate the automation trigger.
Pro tip: Set up Lead Connector app notifications on your phone so you're alerted the instant a new lead comes in — even when you're away from your desk. New lead + 5-minute call window = the highest-value thing you can do all day.
