A lead already had a hair transplant elsewhere and wants a second opinion. How do I categorize them?

Previous-procedure patients are often your highest-intent leads — they've already committed to this once and are now looking for better results or a repair.

1
Treat them as a standard new lead and enter them into the pipeline
A prior-procedure patient who calls for a second opinion goes through the same intake flow as any new lead. If they came in via a form fill, their pipeline card is already in Lead Received. If they called directly, create a contact record in Contacts and add an opportunity card to the pipeline at the Lead Received stage.
2
Flag them as a prior-procedure patient in your notes immediately
This is the most important step. Open the contact record and add a note with everything you learned: where the prior procedure was done (if they shared it), approximately when, what their concern is (poor growth, hairline design, uneven results, want more coverage), and what technique was used if they know (FUE, FUT, strip). The doctor needs this context before the consultation — a repair case is evaluated very differently than a first-time candidate.
3
Move to "Hot Lead" if they have an active, specific concern
A patient who had a procedure and is unhappy or wants more work is often ready to move quickly. If that's the read from your intake call, drag the card to Hot Lead to flag them for priority follow-up. Then book the consultation using the calendar flow.
4
Book the consultation through the standard calendar flow
Use the Calendars tab to book them into a consultation slot. If your practice has a dedicated repair/revision consultation type, use that. If not, use the standard consultation calendar and ensure the notes flag the prior procedure clearly so the doctor is prepared before walking in.
Pro tip: Ask them to send photos before the consultation if possible. A quick text or email from your Conversations tab — "To help the doctor prepare, feel free to send a few photos of your current hairline ahead of the visit" — gives the doctor something to review and makes the consult dramatically more productive.
