How do I add a contact to an information/educational email series?

For leads who aren't ready to book yet, enrolling them in an educational email series keeps your practice top of mind while they make their decision — here's how to manually add someone to that workflow.

1
Open the contact's record
Click "Contacts" in the left sidebar, search for the person by name or phone number, and click their name to open the full contact record.
2
Click "Add to Workflow" or "Add to Campaign" in the action menu
On the contact record, look for the action options — either a button labeled "Add to Workflow" or a three-dot menu in the top right. Click it and select the workflow or campaign option from the dropdown.
3
Select the educational email workflow from the list
A dialog box will appear with all available workflows for your practice. Choose the one your RootLogic account manager set up for educational nurture — it's typically named something like "Hair Restoration Education Series" or "Consultation Nurture." Click "Add" to confirm.
4
Confirm the contact has an email address on file
The workflow will start immediately, but email steps will fail silently if there's no valid email address on the contact record. Before adding them, verify an email address is listed under their contact details.
Important: The 45-day automated nurture sequence that fires for leads sitting in the Lead Received pipeline stage is a separate workflow — it starts automatically and you don't need to add contacts to it manually. The educational series described here is an additional, manually-triggered workflow for leads who specifically asked for more information.
Pro tip: If a contact asks "can you send me more info?" during a phone call, this is the perfect time to add them to the educational series before you hang up. It takes 10 seconds and removes the risk of forgetting to follow up.
