How do I view call duration and call history for a contact?
The Activity tab on any contact record shows every call ever made or received — including duration, direction, and a link to the recording — so you always know exactly where you left off.
1
Open the contact record
Click Contacts in the left sidebar, search for the person's name or phone number, and open their record by clicking their name.
2
Click the Activity tab
Inside the contact record, click the Activity tab. This timeline shows all interactions with this contact in reverse chronological order — calls, texts, emails, notes, and system events.
3
Find call entries — each shows direction, duration, and date
Call entries in the Activity log show: (1) whether the call was inbound or outbound, (2) the date and time, (3) the call duration in minutes and seconds, and (4) a play button if a recording exists. A duration of 0:00 or "No Answer" means the call wasn't connected.
4
Filter the Activity tab to show only calls
If a contact has a lot of activity, use the filter option at the top of the Activity tab to show only Call entries. This clears out the text and email clutter so you can scan the full call history quickly.
Pro tip: Short call durations (under 60 seconds) on inbound calls usually mean the front desk didn't get the chance to engage — the caller hung up or went to voicemail. These are the contacts worth prioritizing for a callback because the lead showed intent but never had a real conversation.
