How do I view a contact's full activity history (calls, texts, emails, form fills)?
The Activity tab is the complete timeline of everything that's happened with a lead — every call, every automated text, every form they submitted — all in one place.
1
Open the contact record
Click Contacts in the left sidebar. Search for the person by name, phone number, or email address, then click their name to open their full contact record.
2
Click the "Activity" tab at the top of the record
Inside the contact record, you'll see a row of tabs near the top — look for Activity and click it. This switches the view to the full chronological timeline of every interaction with this contact.
3
Review calls, texts, emails, and form submissions
The Activity tab shows a reverse-chronological log. Each entry is labeled by type: inbound/outbound call, SMS sent/received, email sent/opened, form submitted, opportunity created, pipeline stage changed. Scroll through to see the full history at a glance.
4
Play back a call recording directly from the Activity tab
Any call routed through RootLogic is automatically recorded. In the Activity tab, find a call entry and click the play button next to it to listen to the recording. This is the fastest way to hear exactly what was said without having to ask a colleague.
Pro tip: Before you call a lead who's been sitting in the pipeline for more than a few days, spend 60 seconds on their Activity tab. You'll see whether the 45-day nurture sequence has been texting them, whether they opened your emails, or whether they called in and got missed. That context changes how you open the conversation.
