If I delete an opportunity, where do I find that person's contact record?

Good news — deleting a pipeline card does not delete the person's information. Their contact record stays in RootLogic permanently, along with all their history.

1
Understand what was deleted: only the pipeline card, not the person
When you delete an opportunity, you're removing that specific pipeline card and its associated dollar value from the board. The contact record — name, phone, email, conversation history, call recordings, and notes — stays completely intact in the system. Nothing about the person is lost.
2
Go to the Contacts section to find them
Click "Contacts" in the left sidebar. Use the search bar to type their name, phone number, or email. Their record will appear in the search results even though their pipeline card is gone.
3
Create a new opportunity from their contact record if needed
If this person has come back around and is a new active lead, open their contact record and click "Add Opportunity" or look for the "+ Opportunity" button in their record. This creates a fresh pipeline card linked to the existing contact — their full history is still there, and you're starting a new sales conversation.
Pro tip: If you're cleaning up your pipeline and removing stale cards, don't worry about losing contact information — it's always safe to delete opportunities. What you should never delete is a contact record itself, which removes all their history and message data permanently.
