How do I view the Google Ads performance report?

The Google Ads report shows you how your paid search budget is performing — clicks, impressions, cost per lead, and the conversion data that feeds back into the ad algorithm.

1
Go to the Reporting section in the left sidebar
In RootLogic, click Reporting in the left navigation menu. This opens the reporting dashboard, which contains multiple report types for your practice.
2
Select "Google Ads" from the reporting options
Inside the Reporting section, look for the Google Ads tab or report tile. Click it to open the Google Ads performance view. If you don't see a Google Ads report, your account may not have the reporting integration enabled yet — contact your VMMG account manager to confirm the setup.
3
Set the date range for the period you want to review
At the top of the report, use the date picker to select your reporting window. Common choices are Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, or Month to Date. For a monthly review with your account manager, set it to the full prior calendar month so you're looking at the same numbers.
4
Review the key metrics: Clicks, Impressions, Spend, and Conversions
The report will show your total ad spend, number of clicks, click-through rate, average cost per click, and the number of conversions (form fills and calls tracked through RootLogic). Focus on cost per conversion — for hair restoration, a healthy cost per lead is $150–$350 depending on your market. If you're seeing cost per lead above $400 consistently, that's worth flagging to your account manager.
5
Cross-reference with your pipeline for true lead quality
The Google Ads report shows ad platform data. For the full picture, compare it to your Opportunities pipeline: how many of those conversions turned into actual booked consultations? If you had 30 leads from Google Ads but only 2 consultations booked, the pipeline data reveals a follow-up or quality issue that the ad report alone won't show.
Important: The conversions shown in this report are what Google Ads "sees" — form fills and tracked calls. The number of actual qualified leads and booked consultations lives in your RootLogic pipeline, not in the ad platform report. Never evaluate campaign performance from the ad report alone.
