I accidentally deleted an opportunity. Can I get it back?

Deleted opportunities cannot be restored, but the person's contact record is never deleted — here's how to recover and rebuild fast.

1
Understand what was actually lost
Only the pipeline card (opportunity) was deleted — the contact record, all notes, conversation history, and call recordings are permanently saved on the contact. You did not lose the person, just their position in the pipeline.
2
Find the contact record in Contacts
Click "Contacts" in the left sidebar. Search by the person's name or phone number in the search bar at the top of the contacts list. Their record will appear with all history intact.
3
Create a new opportunity from the contact record
Open the contact record and look for the "Opportunities" section in the right-hand panel. Click "+ Add Opportunity," then choose the correct pipeline and set the stage to where this lead actually belongs right now (Lead Received, Hot Lead, etc.).
4
Re-read the contact's notes to pick the right stage
Scroll through the Activity tab and any pinned notes on the contact record before placing the new opportunity card. If you spoke with them and they expressed interest, put them in Hot Lead. If you haven't connected yet, Lead Received is correct.
Important: Deleted opportunities cannot be restored by RootLogic support or by VMMG. There is no recycle bin for pipeline cards. Creating a new opportunity is the only path forward.
Pro tip: Before deleting any card in the future, pause and ask: "Do I want to remove this person from the pipeline entirely, or do I just want to archive or reassign them?" If unsure, move the card to a later stage rather than deleting it.
