Troubleshooting

The opportunity value didn't change when I moved a lead. Why?

Opportunity values only update automatically when a booking is made through the calendar — dragging a card manually moves it to a new stage but does not trigger the value update.

1
Understand why this happens
RootLogic's three key values — $50 (Lead Received), $500 (Consult Booked), and $9,100 (Procedure Booked) — are tied to automation triggers, not pipeline stage positions. When a calendar booking completes, the automation fires and updates the value. When you drag a card manually, no automation fires, so the value stays at whatever it was before the drag.
2
Drag the card back and use the correct booking method
If you dragged a card to Consult Booked or Procedure Booked, drag it back to Lead Received. Then open the contact record and complete the booking through the calendar — for consultations, use the Calendars booking flow; for procedures, use the Procedure calendar booking flow. The automation will fire, move the card, and update the value correctly.
3
If the booking already happened and you can't redo it, manually update the value
If you cannot redo the booking (for example, the consultation already occurred), open the opportunity card and look for the Opportunity Value field. Click on the current value and manually type the correct amount: $500 for Consult Booked, $9,100 for Procedure Booked. This won't trigger the automation retroactively but it will correct the value for reporting and offline conversion accuracy.
4
Notify VMMG so they can check the offline conversion record
If the value was wrong for any period of time, let your VMMG account manager know the contact name and the correct stage they should have been in. VMMG can check whether the incorrect value was uploaded to Google Ads as an offline conversion and correct it before it affects the algorithm.
Important: Opportunity values are uploaded to Google Ads and Meta as offline conversions on a regular schedule. A $50 value reported to Google for a confirmed consultation tells the algorithm that consultations are worth the same as a cold lead. Catch and correct these errors as quickly as possible.
